Our 3-Day Tag-Along Camping Safari is an active, outdoor adventure experience conducted on K’gari (Fraser Island), the world’s largest sand island. Due to the remote and natural environment, accessibility is limited.
🚙 Nature of the Tour Environment
This tour operates in a remote national park setting with:
- Beach and sand driving conditions
- Uneven terrain including soft sand tracks
- Natural bush campsites
- Limited infrastructure
- Exposure to weather conditions (heat, rain, wind)
- No sealed paths, ramps or boardwalks at most stops
Vehicles are 4WD Toyota Land Cruisers with step-up access. Entry requires climbing into the vehicle.
🚶 Mobility Requirements
Guests must be able to:
- Independently enter and exit a 4WD vehicle (step height approx. 40–50cm)
- Walk short to moderate distances on sand
- Navigate uneven terrain
- Access campsites without paved pathways
- Participate in basic camp setup (optional but encouraged)
Unfortunately, due to terrain and vehicle design, this tour is not wheelchair accessible.
Guests with limited mobility may find certain aspects of the tour challenging.

🏕️ Campsite & Amenities
Accommodation is in shared camping tents at a private campsite.
Facilities include:
- Shared campground toilet and shower amenities (located within walking distance)
- No private ensuite facilities
- No powered sites
- No lift or ramp access
Campground amenities are managed by a third-party operator and may be shared with other guests.
🧠 Medical Conditions & Health Considerations
Due to the remote nature of K’gari:
- Immediate medical facilities are not available on the island
- First aid is carried by guides
- Mobile reception is limited
- Evacuation may require barge transfer to mainland
Guests must disclose relevant medical conditions prior to travel.
This tour may not be suitable for:
- Individuals with significant mobility limitations
- Guests with serious back or spinal conditions
- Guests requiring refrigerated medication (unless pre-arranged)
- Those with conditions requiring immediate medical access

This is an adventure-style camping tour designed for active travellers aged 18–45 (recommended).
